Data Backup and Recovery

Important: Your journal data is stored locally on your device and may be included in your device's automatic backups (such as iCloud or Google Drive backups), depending on your device settings. However, we cannot guarantee that your data will be preserved in all circumstances.

Data Loss Considerations

• App Deletion: Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all your journal entries and data
• Device Offloading: If your device offloads unused apps, your journal data may be removed and cannot be recovered
• Device Backup Settings: Data preservation depends entirely on your individual device backup configuration

Data Responsibility: As all user-generated content remains exclusively on your device, you maintain full responsibility for your data. We cannot recover lost journal entries under any circumstances and recommend maintaining regular device backups through your operating system's native backup solutions.

Export and import functionality is planned for future releases. The current version focuses on providing a secure, local journaling experience without data transmission.

Our app is built using Expo and React frameworks. These services may collect limited technical information:
